OOTD - 11th Doctor.

Here is my first outfit post in a little while. I took these pictures around Christmastime so I still fitted in my regular wardrobe!

I love the 11th doctors style. I was born to wear librarian chic and I have been dying to showcase this outfit for a while. This is one of my favourite casual cosplays. I am obsessed with my tweed jacket and wear it all the time!

The basic layer for this outfit is cream blouse, grey skirt, black tights and my trusty black boots,

I kept my make up nice and simple as this was a daytime look. I was heading out to lunch with my friends.

The finishing touches for this outfit are my fabulous tweed and my beautiful bow tie necklace which I got for my birthday and I love it! These two things really turn a cute outfit into a casual cosplay of 11!

Here is a close up of my necklace and broach which was my grandma's.

This outfit is so versatile I love paring it with jeans and heels for a night out too!

So.... What do you think? Would you wear this outfit? What characters would you like to see next? Let me know in the comments below.

Much love

Back to bloginess

So at the end of last year I fell out of love with my blog a little so I had a little break. I started Happy Little Geek with the intention of detailing my everyday cosplay outfits and how I brought an element of geek into an ordinary outfit. The important thing to me was that the out fits were wearable, practical and in my wardrobe. I found I was buying too many things specifically to create outfits, rather than using the items I already have to create the looks I want.

Obviously I'm still going to buy geeky accessories and t-shirts etc because I want to celebrate the things I love. I'm no longer going to be going out trying to buy full outfits! I might buy a skirt because it reminds me of Clara or a top that makes me think of Buffy but that's pretty much how I used to shop anyway!

So the Blog is going back to basics. Reminding myself the blog was set up to be fun and not an extra job!
  • Keeping a journal of my Everyday Cosplay. I'll post a couple per month.
  • My Happy Little How To's, to show you how I get some of the details in my outfits.
  • Writing up my geeky experiences as and when the happen, from reading comics to attending cons.

Also this year sees a new challenge..... I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant! So can I keep up the geek style with my expanding tummy?!?! I think it's going to involve basic layers and accessories!

So I hope you like my new posts as they come along. I'll also need your help to suggest characters I can find hiding in my wardrobe!!

Much love
